Nurturing the Child, Nourishing the Community
Har Shalom Preschool & Kindergarten (HSPK) is a Montessori-Inspired learning community serving children aged three to six years. Our curriculum provides a foundation of social-emotional and academic skills within a nurturing, non-competitive environment.
Outdoor Play is an important part of our world. Children love to imagine on our natural playground, plant and harvest fruits and vegetables in the organic garden, and sled on the hills when the outdoors becomes a winter wonderland.
The diversity of our student families creates an inspiring, multicultural environment. Children at Har Shalom enjoy sharing celebrations, languages, and cultures with each other. Jewish holidays are celebrated throughout the year filled with fun, age appropriate curriculum and events.

What is Montessori-Inspired?
The Montessori philosophy is a wonderful, supportive teaching method for the primary years. Children’s sensitive periods of interest are individualized and not restricted by birth age. The “inspired” piece is a significant factor of our dedication to the individual child. Additional early childhood philosophies are integrated to provide a variety of pathways in support of the learning journey. Children are not fit into a mold at Har Shalom; we honor each child’s learning path.
Registration is now open for the August 2021 - May 2022 school year.
Our Jewish and non-Jewish families create a joyful sharing of culture.
